YK Law, a United States law firm in association with leading Chinese law firm Yingke International, is pleased to announce that Michael Chong, Brendan Cochrane, Jason Huf, Joseph Perl and Craig Wolson have joined the firm as Of Counsel. These individuals bring decades of combined experience to YK Law and will be lending their services across a wide variety of practice areas and industries.
Michael Chong has handled diverse civil litigation matters concerning commercial matters, contracts, employment matters and insurance matters. Having successfully tried cases in both state and federal courts, Chong’s litigation responsibilities have included pleadings, all phases of discovery, motion practice, depositions and the final resolution of cases from inception to conclusion. He has also served as general counsel for several privately held corporations, during which time he has addressed a broad range of legal matters. He also has considerable experience representing employers before administrative bodies, including public employers in disciplinary hearings.
Brendan Cochrane is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist with experience at international law firms in New York and Seoul. Cochrane has worked on compliance issues as a Legal Analyst for a Tier-1 Fortune 50 commercial investment bank, piloted an anti-money laundering compliance program for a Bitcoin ATM company and oversaw investigations into fraudulent Bitcoin and Ethereum transactions. As a result of this experience in cutting-edge technology, such as blockchain forensics, Cochrane is a frequent speaker on matters related to cryptocurrency, compliance and investigations.
Jason Huf is a Corporate and Commercial attorney with significant experience working and living in the Middle East–most notably Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Accordingly, Huf’s focus includes consulting on foreign investment in the Middle East, Middle Eastern banking and construction matters, water management and supply chain issues in Saudi Arabia. In addition to this broad overseas experience, Huf is also an authority in foreign investment in Manhattan real estate and the international growth of the American pharmaceuticals.
Craig Wolson brings 40 years of legal practice to YK Law and a client base that spans the globe. He specializes in finance, corporate, securities, securitization and derivatives matters, with memberships in the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and New York City Bar Association. Also recognized as a New York Super Lawyer by Law and Politics Magazine, Wolson was awarded the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has frequently been included in “Who’s Who in the World,” “Who’s Who in America,” “Who’s Who in American Law” and “Who’s Who in Finance and Business.” YK Law is now the latest in a long line of leading law firms for which Wolson has served as an Of Counsel, with his roles at other firms including positions as an Associate, Special Counsel and/or Partner.
